It’s actually a fairly fun show to watch.
But... Those “Race” scenes and the added Sound Effects really let it down.
The tire “Squeal” sound has been the exact same sound over multiple “Races” and several episodes.
Then there’s the “Races”. Oh brother there’s some hardcore Theatrical License being taken here..
One “Race” shows a Vega that’s supposed to be doing upwards of 135 MPH. But.. It’s Bobbing and Weaving like Muhammed Ali in his prime when it got to the end of the “track”.
BULLSHIT!
If they kill the over dramatized BS this has the makings of a good show overall.
Keep in mind that the “Races” are sanctioned by someone too. No way, no freaking way multiple Car Haulers and Machinery that loud is going to be able to “Race” Illegally.
When I was still doing stupid shit deep in Chicago’s Southside there wasn’t an enclosed trailer or tow rig to be found. Usually there was a rollback that we bribed to be a standby in case something happened but that was it.

I enjoy the show too. It’s a guilty pleasure.
Take it for what it’s worth- a produced reality show.
There may be a lot of overly-dramatized corporate muleshit in there but at least it’s guys out there getting it done.

True.
And that Farmtruck guy is pretty entertaining. I have no doubt he’s that same type of guy off camera.

Ahhhh I know! Travis’s dad had a marathon of it playing the last time we were visiting and I just sat there thinking.... “this is basically Real Housewives of New Jersey for car people.”

Can confirm, complete with having friends over every week for dinner and to watch the new episode...

If they just killed the drama, and took it to a drag strip it would be an honest show. All the drama and pretending kills it for me.

It's all rigged, during the big Texas vs. Oklahoma battle the Texas guys were told to lose. First-hand knowledge on that one.

It’s also fairly commonly known around Chicago that the first races (when they came to Chicago) was just a complete stomping, and it took some editing and coaching (aka being told to lose) to get the results of the second round when Chicago went down Oklahoma.

The guys in Houston laugh at the show, they had the top 10 concept years ago, these Oklahoma guys stole it.

I didn’t know they did a Chicago show.

Yeah, it aired around February or March. They came to Chicago in like... Fall of 2013. It took forever for it to make it on the show.
